Live Life. Love Life.

— John Milton

SORRY for the lack of posting lately! I’ve been doing alot of shoot & working & of course getting sick… but on Friday night I decided to do the first photo shoot of the year for my car & family/friends. We found a nice little area that was a good to take individual car shots to highlight each…
Loving this guys sound. Fresh, new, clean sound. I encourage everyone to peep his Album - “Soul Movement Vol. 1.” My copy is on order, as no stores in Edmonton stock it. $20 well spent.

Ok, so I buy “Heavy Rain” for my PS3 (even though I have lots of Schoolwork). I get home, rip off the packaging like it was Christmas, put the game in, do an update …… and get SCREWED!
Apparently there was an internal clock malfunction and the system could not account for the leap year. So, what happend was … PS3’s were out of commission WORLD WIDE!
As I was researching on the internet, I found blogs and comments on the issue. It was like the World was ending for gamers. Outlashing, were gamers who were angry that they could not game for at least 24hrs.
I was angry, but I was not going crazy like some. It was kind of stupid how an online update could affect our ability to play games OFFLINE. I mean, I am sure if I plugged in my Super Nintendo; it would still work.
Sony better fix this and any other problems that may hinder our use of our money eaters OFFLINE. They did resolve the issue in a quick manner, so props to them. The situation made me realize how many gamers there are and how many are literally attached to their game systems … yeesh! Why live my life, when I can play “Heavy Rain?”
I am now 25 years old, that’s right - 25! Throughout my years, I have not enjoyed an Olympiad; as much as I enjoyed the Vancouver Winter Olympics, last month. From Curling to Ski Cross, I was glued to my Sony every day and night. I dont know about you, but I felt closer and more part of this melting pot we call Canada; than ever before.
I watched Alexandre Bilodieu win Canada’s first EVER Gold Medal on home soil.
I watched the Koreans’ own the Short and Long Tracks.
I watched Joannie Rochette win a Bronze Medal, only a few days after the passing of her mother.
I watched a Woman’s Cross Country Skier bail during one of her outtings; she broke 2 ribs and still managed to endure and win the Gold Medal.
I watch the Canadian Men go undefeated in Men’s Curling.
I watched a GOD on a snowboard, in Shaun White, who left the crowds in awe.
Finally, I watched (and will NEVER forget) the Canadian Men’s Hockey Team win Gold … thanks to Sid the Kid. This game was one for the ages, for sure.
Overall, It was a successful outting for Canadians at these games. The Government put in the money to “Own the Podium.” Canada ended up 3rd in the medal count, but was 1st in Gold Medal’s … THAT is owning the podium. I hope to see Canada compete again and again in future games, winter and summer. Sport brings people together, and in Vancouver; the country watched and the country united.
This mix if off the hook! Can’t seem to get enough of it, since I heard it on the “How to Make it in America” Mixtape. I love how mellow, yet funky this track plays. I saw Classix play not too long ago over at New City (BTW 24/7 Halloween in that place) and it was a sweaty good time! Enjoy.
